Lions sign Kevin Smith to 1-year deal

The Detroit Lions have once again signed RB Kevin Smith, this time to a 1-year deal (financials not yet available). Coming off another injury riddled season, Smith garnered no interest on the free agent market. Last year with Jahvid Best (concussion) and Mikel Leshour (achilles) out with injuries, Smith carried the ball 72 times for 356 yards and scored 7 total touchdowns in seven games.
