Josh Beckett continues to struggle and some are now questioning his priorities. Beckett was shelled Thursday night against the Cleveland Indians as the Boston Red Sox lost at home, yet again, to the tune of 8-3. The Sox have now lost 11 of their last 12 home games and are feeling it from the fans. Beckett only last 2 1/3 innings and surrendered 7 earned runs on 7 hits and 2 walks (2K). Most are blaming the former first round pick, among others, as he was booed excessively by the Boston faithful. His dedication to the club is up for debate. Beckett recently missed a start last week with a lateral strain but was out on the golf course the day after. The Red Sox have the fourth worst record in all of baseball and sit at the bottom of the AL East division.
